Lion’s Choice gets ready to #RoarKC with fun social media contest 
The fast-casual restaurant famous for fresh, slow-roasted roast beef sandwiches, prepares to reward fervent local fan base with the “Mane Event” social media contest.  
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 4, 2018) – Lion’s Choice has been making the people of St. Louis wild for their slow-roasted beef sandwiches since the 1960s. Now, to tap into the local market excitement and to recognize Kansas City area fans that have taken to social media to express their love of all things Lion’s Choice, the restaurant is launching an online contest to identify the “King of Lion’s Choice.”  Leading up to the openings of its first Kansas City restaurants, Lion’s Choice launched today a social media contest called the “Mane Event”, which encourages locals to get creative. Fans who share - via social media - photos or videos of themselves, friends, family, and even pets with their best “mane”, real or fake, can enter to win a great prize and bragging rights. The most creative entry will win free Lion’s Choice every week for a year and be invited to cut the opening day ribbon as King (or Queen) of Lion’s Choice at the Independence or Olathe grand openings in the coming months.  To join in the Mane Event, use #RoarKC and tag @LionsChoice on Twitter and Instagram and by posting on Lion’s Choice is making it easy by offering downloadable manes via their website at  “Our social media channels play an important part in engaging with our fans, and the Mane Event contest is a fun and unique way to build excitement as we enter into Kansas City,” commented Mike Kupstas, President, and CEO of Lion’s Choice. “The opening of these two locations by the end of the year is the beginning of more to come in 2019 and beyond.”  
Although this will be Lion’s Choice first brick and mortar locations in the Kansas City area, its popular food truck, The Lean Roast Beef Machine, has been serving the metro area all summer. During the contest, food truck customers will have the opportunity to take their “Mane Event” photos at the food truck’s traveling selfie station using provided props.
