DESCRIPTION:Become a qualified vendor for the largest employers in Eastern Jackson County.\n\nJoin the Chamber and over a dozen of the largest employers in Eastern Jackson County at the Independence Hilton Garden Inn at 19677 E. Jackson Drive\, on Friday\, February 21st\, from 11:30am to 3:30pm to learn how to become a qualified or approved vendor capable of selling goods and/or services to many of the large employers.\n\nThe event will begin with a luncheon from Hereford House with time for networking with fellow business people. Around 12:00pm the speaker will present on the changing procurement procedures used by large companies to provide the small businesses a solid foundation of understanding of what is possible.\n\nAfter the luncheon presentation\, small business owners will have an opportunity to meet in small groups with many of the procurement officers from the large companies represented. The intent of these appointments is to provide small business owners insight and direction into the specific steps they should take to be qualified to do business with the larger companies.\n\nAppointments can be made prior to Business Development Day beginning on February 10th\, 2014. Conversations will be scheduled in 20-30 minute intervals so each large employer will have the opportunity to meet with as many small business owners as possible. Appointments will be made on a first-come-first serve basis.
