DESCRIPTION:NOTICE: THE 2020 HALLOWEEN PARADE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED\n\n\nWith reluctance and tremendous disappointment\, the Independence Chamber of Commerce announces as a result of the current Phase 2.5 county restrictions and guidelines in place (which only allows a maximum of 100 people to attend fairs\, festivals\, and parades)\, we are unable to host the 72nd Annual Independence Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade.\n\nThe 72nd Annual Independence Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade was set to take place on Saturday\, October 31st\, 2020 (Halloween Day). \n\n"We extend our sincere appreciation to the participants\, sponsors\, spectators\, and volunteers who were primed to celebrate with us\," said Sonci Bleckinger\, Independence Chamber Board of Directors Chair and Grand Marshal of this year's parade.  "This is not what any of us wanted for this great traditional event\, however our priority continues to be the health and safety of the entire community and as such we are following the recommendations of the county health experts."\n\nTHE PARADE WILL BE BACK IN 2021\, AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!\n\n\n\nBelow is information on how to participate or sponsor the parade in 2021:\n\n\n\nThe 72nd Annual Halloween Parade will be hosted again by the Independence Chamber of Commerce on October 31st\, 2020! The parade consists of local businesses\, organizations\, and community leaders.
