DESCRIPTION:If you didn't get a chance to get your t-shirt ordered\, no worries! We ordered some extras. Be to come by the Chamber the week of July 7-11 and see if they have your size!\n\n\n\nDo you and your co-workers love living and/or working in Independence? Lots of us do\, too. Wouldn't it be great if we could convey that positive feeling to the world more often? Well now we can through a new annual community marketing event: "In the City Day!"\n\nOn Friday\, July 11\, 2014\, Independence businesses and residents will be wearing the official 2014 "In The City Day" T-shirt to work   or just around town if you're off that day. The goal is to see thousands of the proud people of Independence wearing these shirts with the original art work screened on it all over the City and the metro on Friday\, July 11th   as well as many more times throughout the remainder of the year . It is our way of telling the world "we love Independence".\n\nBelow is this year's In the City Day t-shirt! They are now on sale!\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional activities that day include: \n\n\n\nThe Most Creative Facebook Photo Contest- get your employees together for a photo and the winner will receive a sweet prize (TBA \;) )!  \n\n\n\nThe Independence Family Photo- at noon on July 11th\, gather at the Independence Chamber Parking Lot to take an "Independence Family Photo" in your t-shirt. Then\, vote on the winner for the Most Creative Facebook Photo Contest!\n\n\n\nPhoto Opportunities- Alex Colley\, VP of Small Business Development at the Chamber\, will be out and about throughout the day taking photos of the hundreds of people wearing the official "In The City Day" 2014 t-shirt- so be ready for her to come snap a few photos!
