In addition to her legislative duties\, Rep. Lauer is the founder and owner of The Management Edge\, a firm providing mediation\, strategic planning and performance improvement ser vices to area enterprises. She also served as the Blue Springs District 1 City Councilwoman. Rep. Lauer serves on the Select Committee on Commerce (vice-chair)\, the Select Committee on Rules\, the Appropriations   High Education (vice-chair)\, Children and Families\, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness\, and Utility Infrastructure committees in the Missouri House of Representatives.
