CLEAN UP INDEPENDENCE DAY
Join the Independence Chamber of Commerce on June 3, 2017 to help clean up trash in Independence. Also sponsored by Speaks Family Legacy, Corporate Copy Print, B Vogue Salon and Courthouse Exchange. Choose any of the following 3 locations to make a difference in our community:
1. Team Hwy 40 from Blue Ridge to Sterling. Meet at the Parking lot of Nativity of Mary, 10017 East 36th Terrace for supplies and instructions.
2. Team Hwy 24 from East City Limits to McCoy Park. Meeting location for supplies and instructions will be announced soon.
3. Team Hwy 291 and Truman Rd Interchange. Meet at 16509 E Truman Rd for supplies and instructions.
**What to bring: work gloves, rakes, trash pick up tools, brooms, dustpans, flat shovels.
Trash bags, orange vests, water and a snack will be provided. T-shirts will be provided to volunteers while supplies last.
The Chamber is encouraging other projects throughout the city. If your neighborhood has a clean up project let us know the details. While the Chamber is organizing the efforts in three specific areas we love the idea of a city-wide clean up for Independence.
