CANCELLED: 72nd Annual Halloween Parade
NOTICE: THE 2020 HALLOWEEN PARADE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
With reluctance and tremendous disappointment, the Independence Chamber of Commerce announces as a result of the current Phase 2.5 county restrictions and guidelines in place (which only allows a maximum of 100 people to attend fairs, festivals, and parades), we are unable to host the 72nd Annual Independence Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade.
The 72nd Annual Independence Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade was set to take place on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 (Halloween Day).
“We extend our sincere appreciation to the participants, sponsors, spectators, and volunteers who were primed to celebrate with us,” said Sonci Bleckinger, Independence Chamber Board of Directors Chair and Grand Marshal of this year’s parade. “This is not what any of us wanted for this great traditional event, however our priority continues to be the health and safety of the entire community and as such we are following the recommendations of the county health experts.”

Below is information on how to participate or sponsor the parade in 2021:
The 72nd Annual Halloween Parade will be hosted again by the Independence Chamber of Commerce on October 31st, 2020! The parade consists of local businesses, organizations, and community leaders. If you would like to participate or become a sponsor of the parade, please see the pricing information below:
Participant Pricing Information
(all prices will increase by $10 after October 15th, 2021)
**Entries will not be accepted after Monday, October 25th, 2021**
Political Entry-$100 - Any political candidates or group.
Adult/Community Groups-$50 - Any adult or community group participating in the parade with a float, dance studio, costumed group, car or motorcycle club, or equestrian group.
Youth/Non-Profit Group-$30 - Any local school, youth club, or non-profit group.
Complimentary Entry-No charge - Includes only color guards, military units, public safety units, and local school bands.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Presenting Sponsor - $350
As the Presenting Sponsor, your business will receive the following benefits:
1. Option to have a float in the parade
2. Prominent Signage on leading parade banner, carried by 4 people of your choosing (optional)
3. Announcements of Presenting Sponsorship during parade
