Today’s data threats don’t discriminate; businesses of all sizes are susceptible to attacks.  Employees are connected to the Internet all day every day, communicating with colleagues and stakeholders, sharing critical information and jumping from site to site.  With hackings, data breaches and ransomware attacks on the rise, it is essential for all companies to plan for the worst.  David Evans, Chief Information Officer, for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, will discuss everything from the potential dangers and risks businesses face today in this increasingly digital world and will give tips on how to protect you and your business from cyberattacks. 


DAVID EVANS BIO:
David Evans is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, with over three decades of successful experience in the Information Technology Industry. He is a member of the Regional Cybersecurity Forum, and the Digital Government Advisory Board for the State of Missouri. He is the Technical Lead for Google Fiber KC, Smart City KC, KC Streetcar and the SantaCaliGon Days Festival.  David has been recognized in industry publications and featured on national radio for his specialized Cybersecurity skills and strategies.  As CIO for a highly technological City, Cybersecurity is his key focus and concern.
